boheme: “they” say when a child removes her diaper, it’s a sign of readiness for potty training. you remove your diaper and refuse to sit on the potty. you find it much more entertaining to pee all over the house. it doesn’t help matters that your brothers find it hilarious as well.

the alarm went off at 6am to “My Sweet Lord” by George Harrison. i slowly opened my eyes expecting my usual boheme kisses. i love those. i turned towards her, My Sweet Lord still softly humming in the background, and immediately something shifted. everything about this moment was suddenly infinitely important; the morning sun shining through the window added a magical mood to the sacred stillness.

while we were trying to set up, you were climbing in and out of the booths. this is the only picture i managed to take today. i was too busy making sure you were staying out of trouble and out of the way. it’s not easy being both a mama to a toddler and two older boys. some days it can bring me to my knees. but i realize how precious this time is with you and how fleeting. i’m grateful for even the most challenging days.
