In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality .
it’s the second week of summer vacation and i think you’ve finally downshifted. it could also be the result of our “i am NOT responsible for filling every second of your summer with excitement” talk. either way, you have been carefree and happy almost all of the time. no fighting, no yelling, and no rushing off somewhere. just peaceful and mellow.
“there is nothing wrong with america that cannot be cured with what is right in america.”
– president bill clinton
tomorrow you turn eight years old. eight! eight? how did eight years possibly pass that fast?
for the past two weeks you have been counting down the days until your birthday. counting down the days until we leave for big bear. i’m happy to tell you that it is finally here my love. today we leave for a cozy cabin in the mountains to celebrate your arrival to this life. you will blow out eight candles as i watch in wonder.
